Truman Moore
Truman, a senior, is the lone Tiger with two years of varsity experience
under his belt. He is looking to further his leadership skills as he helps
his younger teammates understand the expectations of varsity basketball.
Truman gives the Tigers a real threat in the paint as a post player and
someone who can guard other team’s bigs. Not only does Truman have a
variety of post moves with his back to the basket he has worked very hard
on developing a face up game. Truman’s rebounding and shot blocking
ability should help the Tigers get out in transition this season. Truman
has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Utah Valley
University after his senior year at GHS. |

Nick Agostino
This is Nick’s senior year and second year on the varsity as he saw action
as the back up point guard last year. He will be expected to take over the
point guard responsibilities this season. Nick brings a scoring threat to
the position and which puts constant pressure on the opposing defense.
Nick has worked hard to develop his overall strength and has put himself
in a position to be an effective varsity basketball player. We are excited
for Nick to take over the full time point guard position this season.

Cole Carlson
This is Cole’s senior year and second year on the varsity as he progressed
nicely before injury cut his season short last year. Cole will be
competing for playing time at the wing spot for our team this season and
brings an ability to make mid range jump shots. We also see Cole as a
player who can defend on the perimeter. He is one of the programs better
athletes and will have to be able to contribute for us on the defensive
side of the basketball. Cole will be expected to bring maturity and
leadership to the back court this year. |

Justin Hopkins
This is Justin’s senior year and second year on the varsity. He was a
solid contributor for our JV and varsity team last season. Justin has
worked hard on becoming more of a perimeter player. He is a hard nosed
player who is especially adept at offensive rebounding. As he continues to
develop guard skills Justin will play an important role at the varsity
level. Look for Justin to provide experience and aggressiveness to our
team this season. |

Byron Hurd
This is Byron’s senior
year and second year on the varsity. He was also a solid contributor for
our JV and varsity team last season. Byron brings a unique coach’s mind to
the table as he enters his senior year. Byron does not back down from a
challenge and is always willing to mix it up. Through hard work, he has
developed himself over the last three years into an athlete who can play
above the rim. We love the way Byron plays the game and think he will play
a crucial role for the Tiger’s this year |

Christian Jorgensen
This will be Christian’s second year on the varsity team. Christian has
worked very hard within our program over the last three years. Christian
is very intelligent and understands our philosophies very well. Christian
isn’t the most athletic player on the team, but makes up for that by
knowing where to be on the court. Christian is a great teammate and is
willing to do what is needed for the team to be successful. We are looking
for Christian to bring leadership as a second year varsity player. |

Corey Thomas
This will be Corey’s second year on the varsity team. We really like the
toughness that Corey brings to the team. He is a leader by example, which
shows in his dedication to the weight room and off season strength and
conditioning program. Corey is the type of player that everybody loves to
play with and hates to play against. His gritty, tough minded attitude has
been contagious among players in our program. As a senior, we are looking
for Corey to provide much needed leadership. |

Chris Bowling
Chris, a junior, has some varsity experience as he split time with our JV
and varsity teams last year. Chris can flat out score the basketball. As a
6’ 6 wing he creates tough match ups for the opposition and has developed
a nice inside/outside game. Chris needs to continue to add strength as we
look for him to be a consistent scorer. Chris has a scorer’s mentality and
does not hesitate when the opportunity presents itself. We are looking for
Chris to develop into a more complete all around player throughout this
season. |

This is Jacob’s first year on the varsity team as he is coming off an
impressive JV season. Jacob should prove to be a valuable asset on the
team as a hard nosed, tough player willing to do whatever is necessary to
win games. Jacob is a tireless worker, always trying to add dimensions to
his game. We are looking for Jacob to do a little bit of everything this
year, from guarding in the post to knocking down open shots. This will be
an important year for Jacob to develop confidence in game situations. |

Connor LaGanke
This is Connor’s first year on the varsity. He was a solid contributor for
our JV team last season. Connor will bring depth to the guard position
with his excellent court vision, especially in transition. Connor will
need to continue to put in the time in the weight room to improve his
strength and quickness. This will be an important year for Connor to learn
the ways of varsity basketball and develop into the player we believe he
can become. |

freshman team before he moved out of the district for a year. We are
excited to have Tyler back in a Tiger uniform this season. Tyler will also
need to dedicate himself to the weight room in order to be able to handle
the physical demands of varsity basketball. Tyler has a true passion for
the game and will most certainly put in the time and work to develop as a
player. |

Caden Towt
This is Caden’s first year on the varsity. As a sophomore, he will be a
full time varsity player. Caden is a steady and heady player. He got his
first varsity experience this summer and the coaching staff quickly
recognized he is a kid that is hard to take off the floor. His game is not
flashy, but it is effective. Caden is a fast learner and flat out gets the
job done. By gaining varsity experience this season, Caden will be a force
to be reckon with over the next three years. |
